Our Impact

Reach Volunteering strengthens charities and community groups by connecting them with the skills, expertise, and diverse perspectives they need to thrive.

Through our service, volunteers contribute their skills and experience, and also energy, ideas, and valuable networks. They make trustee boards, stronger and more diverse and increase the capacity of organisations, enabling them to do more, and do it better.

In turn, volunteers make a difference to a cause they care about and connect with others who share their sense of purpose. At the same time, they can learn new skills and experience new ways of working.

Our impact in 2025

Our record-breaking growth continued in 2025. During the year we placed our highest ever number of trustees and volunteers enabling charities and groups across the UK to meet the needs of their communities and foster a fairer, more sustainable society.

2025 highlights:

We worked with 2,440 charities and groups who posted a record-breaking 7,097 opportunities for volunteers and trustees
16,301 people registered to volunteer – the highest ever number in a year
Volunteers (new and old) made 29,964 applications during the year
The number of people recruited by charities and groups rose by 10% to a record number of 5,996
Over 91% said that their trustee or volunteer had made them more effective
We celebrated 10 years of our digital platform with the launch of an upgrade, built on the latest technology and designed to allow us to evolve and improve the service and grow at scale
