How we help

Charities and community groups face complex challenges that often require skills and expertise that they cannot access through their own networks or with their constrained resources. At the same time, there are thousands of people with these skills who want to make a difference and just need the opportunity to do so.

How we do it

Our unique service combines:

A purpose built platform: charities and groups post opportunities for trustees, for short projects or in ongoing roles. Volunteers search and apply for these opportunities based on the skills they are offering and the causes that matter to them. Volunteers can also create profiles, so that charities can contact them proactively. Our platform encourages interaction and connection.

Strategic partnerships: we stream our roles to new audiences through LinkedIn, Rest Less, Escape the City and other partners so we reach larger audiences.

Support and guidance: resources for both organisations and volunteers, including our highly regarded Trustee Recruitment Cycle, to set everyone up for success.

Campaigns: inspiring more people to volunteer through themed initiatives, such as Volunteer for Climate Action.

Who we work with

We work with a wide range of organisations from grassroots groups to large national charities to help them recruit trustees and volunteers.

In 2025, 2,440 different charities and groups used Reach to recruit volunteers and create change. 62% of these organisations had an annual turnover of less than £250k.
