Yule Travel Group CIC
Our objectives
Yule Travel Group CIC is a pioneering, purpose-driven social enterprise that operates a dual-impact model to empower marginalised individuals in the UK and support economically disadvantaged communities in developing global destinations.
The global tourism industry suffers from severe "economic leakage," where billions are spent, yet an alarmingly small fraction of that wealth actually reaches the local people. Yule Travel Group CIC combats this by acting as an inclusive training and advocacy incubator, empowering underrepresented UK voices to build independent livelihoods championing ethical tourism. Crucially, 100% of our organisation's retained surplus is legally locked to fund our "Four Pillars of Change". By redirecting sustainable tourism revenue, we deliver vocational and digital literacy, community micro-finance, inclusive leadership for women and LGBTQ+ individuals, and environmental regeneration, ensuring vulnerable communities can thrive.
Our activities
Yule Travel Group CIC operates a dual-impact model, generating sustainable revenue to fund global change across four main areas:
- Inclusive Empowerment Programme: Providing mentorship, enterprise tools, and an ethical framework to empower underrepresented UK individuals (including disabled entrepreneurs, LGBTQ+ individuals, and widows) to build independent livelihoods advocating for sustainable tourism.
- Ethical Tourism Initiatives: Operating purpose-driven, direct-to-consumer travel campaigns where 100% of our organisation's retained surplus is legally locked into the CIC to generate sustainable funding for our grassroots community projects.
- Vocational & Digital Literacy: Reinvesting funds into developing destinations to support community education programs, teachers, and vital digital infrastructure (computers and internet access) for geographically isolated villages.
- Economic Empowerment & Regeneration: Financing local micro-finance initiatives, sustainable hospitality training (actively promoting women and LGBTQ+ leadership), and circular economy projects such as upcycling river plastic.
