Join the UK’s first purpose-driven travel CIC. We need a strategic Grants & Bid Writer to spearhead our funding arm. Use your expertise to secure tech-scale-up funds and corporate CSR partnerships that directly finance global education, equality, and environmental projects. Fully remote!

What will you be doing?

We are Yule Travel Group CIC, a pioneering social enterprise and the UK’s first-ever purpose-driven travel Host Agency. We are disruptors, not traditional philanthropists, and we believe in using mainstream travel as a powerful commercial engine for self-sustaining global good.

We operate a highly scalable dual-model: an inclusive B2B business incubator for underrepresented UK travel entrepreneurs, and our flagship B2C retail brand, 'Yule Travel'. What makes us radically different is our legal structure, where 100% of our retained corporate profits are legally locked to our social mission.

While our commercial travel sales actively fund our ongoing social operations, we are seeking a highly strategic Grants & Bid Writer to spearhead our external "Funding Arm". You will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Bid Writing: Translating our complex dual-impact model into compelling, high-converting grant applications.
  • Funding the Future: Securing capital to fund our core operational expansions, such as acquiring further licenses to massively increase our charitable profit margins, and scaling our on-the-ground initiatives in Southeast Asia.
  • Partnership Sourcing: Identifying new Trusts, Foundations, and Corporate CSR partners whose values align with our radical transparency and anti-greenwashing ethos.
  • Pipeline Management: Tracking application deadlines and maintaining a clear, organised pipeline of funding opportunities.

We respect that our volunteers are high-level professionals. You will not be handed a list of mundane tasks; you will be given a blank canvas to build and execute enterprise-grade funding strategies from scratch. We operate a 100% remote, asynchronous workspace, meaning you complete your hours entirely on your own schedule, from anywhere in the UK.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly strategic, results-oriented capital raiser. You must have a proven ability to translate complex business models into compelling grant applications that secure enterprise-grade funding.

The ideal candidate will possess the following core experience and qualities:

1. Strategic Bid Writing (3+ Years Experience) You must have a strong professional background in enterprise-grade grant writing, corporate CSR partnerships, or securing tech-scale-up funds. You should be highly proficient at identifying new Trusts and Foundations and translating our unique dual-impact CIC model into high-converting applications.

2. Autonomous and Tech-Forward As a fully remote volunteer, you need to be a highly organised self-starter. We work in an agile, innovation-forward startup environment, operating with the sharpness of a corporate tech startup. You should be comfortable collaborating asynchronously, maintaining a clear, organised pipeline of funding opportunities, tracking deadlines, and utilising modern digital tools to scale your output efficiently.

3. An Ethical & Transparent Mindset You deeply understand how to communicate social impact. You know how to highlight our grassroots initiatives with dignity and radical transparency. When sourcing partnerships, you can easily identify Trusts, Foundations, and Corporate CSR partners whose values strictly align with our anti-greenwashing ethos.

4. Passion for Purpose-Driven Impact You want your writing to mean something. You are excited by the prospect of coming in at the ground floor of a pioneering CIC, proving that mainstream commercial travel can be used as a powerful engine for self-sustaining global good. You are driven by the knowledge that your writing secures the concrete capital that builds schools, funds micro-finance, and launches independent UK businesses.

What difference will you make?

Because of our unique CIC structure, we use commercial travel as an engine for change—but to scale our impact rapidly and expand our infrastructure, we need an injection of enterprise-grade capital. This is where your impact as our Grants & Bid Writer becomes absolutely vital.

Your writing doesn't just raise awareness; it secures the concrete capital that builds schools, funds micro-finance, and launches independent UK businesses. By securing social enterprise grants and tech-scale-up funds, you are directly expanding our operational capacity.

Every grant you secure will be channelled through our legally binding Asset Lock to directly fund our "Four Pillars of Change" in developing destinations. This includes our flagship "Made From The Mekong" project, which provides digital literacy education and upcycles river plastic into a circular economy.

By joining us at the ground floor of a radical industry disruptor, your strategic bids will act as a massive social multiplier. This role provides a uniquely powerful case study for any professional portfolio, allowing you to clearly point to the global infrastructure and independent livelihoods your successful funding proposals have directly built.
