About me

Ian has over 25 years’ customer-facing consulting experience on large-scale, complex projects covering ERP implementations, transformation, PoC’s and crit-sits.

For the past 4 years Ian has led a large, high-profile proof of concept to create the factory of the future using industry 4.0 principles. His project was referenced in the UK Government’s Made Smarter Report. He has a close relationship with the UK High Value Catapult Centres such as the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC).

He is Chairman of the Sheffield University Industrial Advisory Board and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, a select group of global thought leaders.  In 2018 he was a finalist in the Management Consultancy Association (MCA) awards.

He is a Certified Technical Specialist (Thought Leader), Expert Solutions Specialist, IBM Academic Ambassador, and a chartered member of the British Computer Society.

Ian has worked in most sectors, including industrial/aerospace, banking and finance, public, defence and retail.
