Update your volunteer profile

It’s important to keep your profile up-to-date, so that you continue to get the most out of the platform. For example, if your availability has changed, it is helpful to update this so that you are not contacted with opportunities that no longer suit you. By keeping your profile up to date, it will ensure that organisations can see what sort of role you are interested in and what skills you would like to offer. Here you can find out how to update your profile.

How do I edit my profile?

1. Log into your Reach account and go to your dashboard
2. Click on Manage account at the bottom left of the page

3. Click on the My Profile tab

4. Click on Edit your profile

You will be taken to a form with all of your current profile details, split into three main tabs:

• About your experience
• About You
• Your preferences

You can change any of these details, including updating your work experience, uploading a new CV or changing any of your preferences about the type of role or cause you are interested in supporting. 

      5. Click Save at the bottom to capture your changes. 

How do I change my availability? 

If your availability has changed, it is helpful to update your profile, so that you do not receive suggestions for opportunities that no longer suit you. The options are 

• Public: Your profile will be visible in our searches and organisations will be able to suggest roles to you. Your LinkedIn, CV and/or portfolio will be hidden from organisations however, when you apply for a role, your full profile and work history will be available to them.
• Private: Your profile will be hidden from search, so organisations cannot suggest roles to you. However, when you apply for a role, your full profile and work history will be available to them. 

To update your availability :  

1. Log into your Reach account and go to your dashboard
2. Click on Manage account at the bottom left of the page

3. Go to the My Profile tab

4. Under Your profile visibility, select either Public or Private

5. Click Save
