VR draws on all our sensory and cognitive capabilities, making it a brilliant tool in healthcare and education. We help children with special needs and adults with disabilities and mental health issues through holistic therapies supporting physical, emotional, social and cognitive development and wellbeing. With VR, we make the impossible possible, using the latest in VR and immersive technology in 1-2-1 therapy sessions: from swimming with dolphins to meditating in forests, we help reduce the stresses of life and support specific conditions including therapeutic help for neurological disorders, dementia, brain injuries and autism. Our clients include the NHS, Children's & Adolescent Mental Health Services, Northampton Hospital Outreach & Education, Barchester Healthcare and multiple special needs schools.
VR Therapies was founded by Qualified Nurse Rebecca Gill after more than 12 years’ experience supporting learning disabilities, brain injury rehabilitation, mental health issues and other neurological conditions. Learning from a diverse range of healthcare professionals from neuroscience to physiotherapy, local universities and the NHS, and with a passion for using technology for good, Rebecca established VRT as a Social Enterprise to lead the way in providing accessible VR therapies to the local community.
Based in Northampton, we provide a full range of VR therapies in the community, with outreach programmes in local schools and multiple healthcare settings including care homes, hospices and hospitals. We support everyone to explore, experience and enjoy the latest advances in therapeutic technology in a truly accessible and affordable way.
