Swindon Food Collective
Our objectives
Swindon Food Collective is an independent food bank serving people in Swindon and surrounding areas who are in crisis, experiencing financial hardship and struggling to provide food for themselves, their families or dependants. We currently feed circa 10,000 people per year, one third of whom are children.
Our activities
We receive donations of food, toiletries and household items from members of the public as well as churches, schools, local companies, community groups and supermarkets. The goods go to our warehouse, where they are sorted and packed into food boxes for delivery to 12 distribution centres across the town and beyond. We work with a large number of approved local organisations who can refer individuals and families in need, and along with the food and essentials, we aim to provide a friendly welcome and signposting to other local agencies for further help.
