Sage Counselling CIO
Our objectives
Sage Counselling is a home visiting service for adults of all ages who are unable, through mobility issues, to access other forms of counselling. Mobility issues arise through age and infirmity, physical disabilities or mental health issues that prevent people getting out. These people would need to heavily rely on family or others to take clients to counselling and add to the strain of maintaining independence.
Our activities
We are a fully professional organisation following the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist Ethical Guidelines. We have an Operations Team that meets throughout the year. The member of the team are the Counselling Coordinator, Counselling Supervisors, administrator, and a fundraising and publicity officer.
The Board if Trustees meets quarterly. There are currently six trustees including the chair and treasurer.
We do not have a central physical office as we offer our service throughout West Sussex and counsellors travel from their homes to the clients. Each counsellor has a full induction before commencing work with us and we also take student counsellors from accredited training schools to complete their practical training. Sage agrees to the training schools requirement for reports, working standards and supervision.
All our activities as shown above and much more are to ensure a safe, ethical and sustainable organisation aimed at giving our clients the best possible experience of counselling.
