The charity have previously engaged a firm of Chartered Accountants to prepare the accounts and carry out an Independent Examination. The board now have the expertise to prepare the Receipts and Payments Accounts but require an independent person to examine and report on them.

What will you be doing?

The records are maintained on Xero and the accounting year end is 28th February. The independent examiner will be given access to Xero and all of the supporting documents in order to carry out their examination in accordance with the Charity Commission guidance - Independent examination of charity accounts: examiners (CC32).

What are we looking for?

The role will suit someone with experience of bookkeeping, preparing Receipts and Payments Accounts and Xero. They will need to demonstrate integrity and professionalism with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

What difference will you make?

The Independent Examiner will ensure that the board have complied with charity regulations and avoid unnecessary professional fees.
