Objectives

To make nature accessible to all children, irrespective of their social background, faith or life circumstances.

To ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the great outdoors.

To provide a space for Christian instruction and retreats.

The Ringsfield Hall Trust was established in 1972 to provide a space for school and church groups from inner city London to spend away from their everyday situations and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of time spent in nature and the countryside.

Since the Covid 19 pandemic the trust has been working with schools and charities across East Anglia and nationally, to provide experiences where young people can reconnect with each other, themselves and the natural environment. This has been further supported by achieving grant funding from persimmon homes and forming new partnerships and collaborations.

The Ringsfield Hall Trust works in partnership with several national charities to provide opportunities for children from deprived backgrounds to experience the health and wellbeing benefits of time spent in nature. These include The Country Trust, The Ernest Cook Trust, UK Youth, A Rocha UK and East Suffolk Council.

Activities

The trust owns and operates the 55 bed Victorian house 'Ringsfield Hall' and 15 acres of woodland, meadow and parkland. We meet our objectives by providing all inclusive educational residential programmes for school groups, charities and the church community. These often include forest school sessions, bushcraft, environmental education, outdoor learning and team building activities.
