Less than two miles from Birmingham city centre, Moseley Park And Pool covers 11 acres of peaceful park, rolling meadows and woodland, all surrounding a beautiful lake. It is open for our subscribers to enjoy 365 days a year.
The park is enjoyed by local people who subscribe to the park (cost £60 per annum), and is open to the public every Wednesday and a minimum of one Saturday a month. We also support a wide range of local community organisations, including schools and support groups, who hold a complimentary park fob for the use of their members. Twice a year we are hosts to the popular music festivals, Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul and Moseley Folk and Arts Festival. The site is also home to three thriving sports/wellbeing groups (yoga business, tennis club and an angling club). We run a comprehensive programme of events throughout the year, for the enjoyment of our subscribers and also for the public.
The work of the park is overseen by a board of six volunteer trustees, supported at ground level by a small team of staff including land management, subscription administration and community engagement. We are conscious of our responsibilities to our neighbours and those subscribers who wish to enjoy the quiet environment the park provides. We balance this with a busy programme of events for the enjoyment of regular and occasional park visitors. We also aim to broaden our appeal beyond the immediate neighbourhood to bordering neighbourhoods.
