Objectives

Laurence’s Larder and Open Kitchen, based in Brondesbury (equidistant between Kilburn, Cricklewood and Willesden Green), Brent, is looking for new trustees to help develop this small but vital charity tackling poverty on its’ doorstep.

Set up as a ‘Charitable Incorporate Organisation’ in 2019, Laurence’s Larder, operates from Christ Church with St Laurence on Willesden Lane, Brondesbury London NW6. Laurence’s Larder is a small charity, with services delivered primarily by a team of committed volunteers. It provides hot meals, a clothing bank and food parcels, along with a warm welcome and, critically, companionship to anyone, regardless of their circumstances.

We need a number of new Trustees, with a range of experience, knowledge and skills, who, together with our volunteers, will help develop and grow the organisation (we are developing ambitious plans for the medium to long term, to increase the size and scope of the organisation. Laurence's Larder serves a marginalised but important and diverse community. Their needs are only going to increase as winter approaches and the cost of living rapidly increases, further impacting an already needy and growing community. We are fortunate to have a long serving and very committed team of volunteers, who provide the services we deliver.

Both the volunteers, and those who use the services that Laurence's Larder provides need your help. to ensure that we can do more and do better. We are a small organisation, and we are very much a hands on, get involved, type of organisation, so there are opportunities both to support the charity through its governance and to directly work with the volunteers and the users.
