Archives are the building blocks of our shared Lancashire history. The Friends are Lancashire Archives’ supporters club – since 1986 we’ve raised over £300,000 to help promote the work of the Archives across the county. Over the 35 years of their existence, the Friends have supported Lancashire Archives – by purchasing archives and equipment, funding conservation of the collections, and actively promoting the use of the archives for research and connecting people with their Lancashire heritage. These are our core purposes and continue to this day.
We fundraise through a legacy programme and regular members' events; we also engage with national funding bodies for specific appeals.
