Objectives

Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College is a medium sized further education college with campuses in Hammersmith, Ealing, Southall and Park Royal. It provides largely vocational and technical education to young people from the age of 16 upwards and to adults. There is a significant body of provision for students with high needs. The College's history can be traced back to 1881. It is constituted as an exempt charity as a further education Corporation and operates though a board of governors who are unpaid volunteers drawn from the local community, staff and students. 

The Corporation (Board of Governors) is responsible for the overall functioning of the College. It oversees the college’s strategic direction, financial performance and quality of service provided to learners and the community.

The Corporation Board is made up of highly experienced individuals, who have extensive experience in management across industry, business, law, finance and the community, as well as students and staff. The Board meets to discuss the college’s strategy and its progress on key performance matters.

The Corporation also has a number of committees that provide more detailed scrutiny and support to specific aspects of College’s work.

Activities

The College's mission statement is 'To inspire learning and improve lives through education, training and skills development that supports social and economic success for our students, businesses and communities across West London'. Its corporate values are 'Ambition, Integrity, Inclusion and Accountability' .
