Cancer Support Yorkshire is a local and independent charity supporting those who are affected by a cancer diagnosis. We provide practical and emotional support and our support is confidential and free to access. We offer a Welfare Rights, Wellbeing, Transport and an Information and Community service.
Our job is to provide support when people need it most. Our welfare rights advisers can help work through the range and complexity of benefits available, our team of volunteer drivers can help with transport to and from hospital appointments and activities at our centres. Wellbeing provide emotional support by offering counselling and complementary therapies and a range of classes, courses and support groups. We can provide up to date information on the different types of cancer, the treatments and how to cope and our community team go out and engage with the local communities groups.
