Our objectives

Bringing Unity Back into the Community (BUBIC) rebuilds lives through peer support, practical action and unwavering community presence. A peer‑led charity supporting people facing substance misuse, homelessness, exploitation and multiple disadvantage in Haringey.

Our activities

Impact with people

  • Daily day and night street outreach, engaging people mainstream services don’t reach
  • A night drop‑in service offering safety, food, washing facilities, harm reduction and peer support
  • Peer‑led recovery groups and an accredited Gateway programme, supporting people into recovery, volunteering and paid employment
  • Clean Up, Fix Up practical support improving living conditions, dignity and wellbeing
  • Trusted multi‑agency work helping people stay housed, reduce harm and escape exploitation such as cuckooing

    Community Champion

    A Community Champion to strengthen our connection to the communities we serve. This role ensures lived experience, local insight, and community voice shape our strategy, partnerships, and delivery - someone with lived experience and or work locally in the community of Haringey.

    Legal Trustee

    Hybrid: London
    1-3 hours / week

    The Legal Trustee plays a critical role in safeguarding BUBIC’s integrity, ensuring the organisation operates within charity law and governance best practice - helping to manage risk, protect assets, and uphold the charity’s credibility and long-term sustainability.

    BUBIC is entering a critical phase of growth, building a sustainable, partnership-led model that integrates community expertise with system and corporate investment - someone with strategic oversight, challenge, and network access to strengthen income diversification and partnerships.
