A Community Champion to strengthen our connection to the communities we serve. This role ensures lived experience, local insight, and community voice shape our strategy, partnerships, and delivery - someone with lived experience and or work locally in the community of Haringey.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities 
Champion community voice at Board level, ensuring decisions reflect real needs Provide insight on local challenges, priorities, and emerging issues Strengthen links with local organisations, schools, and networks Connect BUBIC to underserved individuals and communities Support inclusive, accessible, and community-led service design Act as an ambassador, promoting BUBIC and its impact locally Ensure BUBIC remains representative, trusted, and culturally relevant Contribute to Board discussions, offering constructive challenge and insight in line with governance responsibilities 

Essential Skills & Experience Strong understanding of local communities and lived realities Established networks or relationships within the local community Ability to listen, represent, and amplify community voice Experience of community engagement, outreach, or grassroots work Confidence to contribute at Board level discussions and decision-making Understanding of inclusion, diversity, and reducing barriers to access
