Bath Cats and Dogs Home has successfully existed to rescue, rehome and rehabilitate unwanted companion animals for over 80 years.
There is a huge demand on our services, with animals in desperate need coming to us every day, we take in over 1,300 unwanted and sometimes cruelly treated animals each year and we work hard to rehabilitate and find them new homes.
We have achieved a huge amount with over 100,000 animals being rescued and rehomed and as an organisation we are committed to continuing to do this. We also want to have a larger impact on animal welfare within our wider community; helping all animals in need.
Bath Cats and Dogs Home rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes on average 1,300 unwanted dogs, cats and small animals each year. We take in mistreated and neglected animals from RSPCA Inspectors strays from dog wardens and handovers from members of the public who are no longer able to care for their pets.
As a branch of the RSPCA we adhere to the highest animal welfare standards and we prioritise animals that have been cruelly treated and neglected but as an independent charity we are self-funded.
We also educate on responsible pet ownership and support our community through free microchipping and assisted vet fees for those on low incomes.
