An excellent opportunity to use your skills as a group session facilitator to help a small but growing UK charity focus on strategic development.
APOPO UK is a grant giving organisation that works closely with APOPO international, funding humanitarian focussed projects enabled through animal scent detection, most notably, but not exclusively to train and deploy teams with HeroRATs* and HeroDOGs to detect landmines and previously missed cases of TB*. The charity has a very unique and intriguing case for support. APOPO UK was founded in 2019 and registered as a charity in 2021. The small volunteer team have reached an exciting point in the charity's evolution. The Board of Trustees now want to come together for a dedicated strategy session (which is likely to involve 8-12 people) that will help guide a strategic way forward to enable the charity to grow and win more resources and gain support. This session will be held in London on 28th October 2024 and is likely to be positioned as a half day workshop.
You will be required to deploy your skills as an experienced facilitator to lead the discussions, help us get the best out of the session, drawing on the expertise of the various stakeholders. You will then be required to help summarise and consolidate the ideas and suggestions. There is therefore likely to be a few hours of pre and post work around this workshop. Your main contact will be the Board Chair.
Trackable and effective experience as a workshop facilitator for a non profit

You will be supporting the charity's Board and help them to focus and ultimately devise a strategic road map for a 3-5 year organisational strategy that will ultimately inform other strategies and business plans which will lead on to developing partnerships, raising additional funds and generating awareness. This will help the charity to remain efficient and effective and hopefully lead to leveraged support for APOPO's work helping to save lives around the world.
