We are offering an opportunity for someone to gain charity experience as a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser helping us identify potential grant sources

What will you be doing?

Our Fundraising activity has 3 pillars: Individual Giving, Corporate, and Trusts and Foundations. You will lead the Trusts and Foundations sources of funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, maintain and grow our existing list of Trusts and Foundations.
  • Regularly review each potential funders’ website and social media to understand current sources of funding and identify any which Basildon Mind may be able to apply for.
  • For each potential source of funding, provide a basic overview of the grant and its requirements.
  • Draft grant applications for peer review and support.
  • Attend our internal Fundraising Sub-Committee and report back on progress and status of potential funds.
  • Participate in other fundraising activities as part of the fundraising team.

What are we looking for?

To be successful you will be a well-organised, self-starter, who can be a key fundraising lead, demonstrating high levels of professionalism, leadership and management skills.

Experience of identifying sources of grants.

A knowledge of the fundraising climate and fundraising regulations.

What difference will you make?

Our small charity needs to self-fund many of its services (Counselling, Helpline, Wellbeing activities). This model enables us to help as many local people as possible with their mental health. Therefore, ensuring that we have a sufficient number of grants is essential to remaining solvent.

As a volunteer who spends quality time focusing on fundraising, you will help ensure we continue to help as many local people as possible.
