We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees and be part of the CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) committee. This committee plays a key role in ensuring we can continue to positively provide early years services and support to local families. As a Trustee, you will work together with a team to direct the strategic progression of the charity, ensure financial security, and navigate business, management, or governance issues as they arise.

Key Areas of Expertise Needed:

• Finance: We are particularly in need of a Treasurer with financial and accounting skills. Your role will involve assisting with financial planning and management, budgeting, and ensuring robust governance around financial matters.
• Human Resources (HR)
• Forward Business Planning
• Grant Applications
• Marketing
• Policy Reviews and Governance Procedures
• Succession Planning

Treasurer Role: The Treasurer will ideally:

• Assist the staff manager and finance officer with governance of financial procedures.
• Update financial policies, including the reserves policy.
• Assist with year-end accounts.
• Participate in forward financial planning for the pre-school.
