Example opportunity post
Take a look at our example opportunity from fictional climate organisation Earth Guardian.
Come join our sustainability charity and help us make Manchester businesses more suistainable!
What will you be doing?
Earth Guardian is working in Manchester to help small to medium businesses become more sustainable. We’re currently in the process of developing a series of resources aimed at start-ups, all about developing a sustainability strategy, and we need help editing and designing the resources.
This role will involve working to create three different guides, each which covers a different aspect of sustainability in business. The written content has been created, but will need copy editing and designing into digital and printable versions.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has copy editing/proof-reading experience
- Can design reports/marketing materials for digital and print
- Is passionate about the environment and sustainability.
This role is remote, but we’re especially keen to hear from people based in and around Manchester as we’d love to expand our local network of people who are actively working for climate and for sustainability.
What impact will you have?
Since our inception in 2016, Earth Guardian have worked with over 100 small and medium businesses on a one-to-one basis. We’re excited to have these resources so we can get our expertise out to a much larger audience, especially online. These resources will give smaller businesses an easy ‘pick up and go’ set of resources which they can implement right away.
Before you apply
As this role involves both editing and design, we’d like to see examples of both when you submit your application. If you’ve worked on a resource like this before, please share an example - but if not, an example of your writing and of something you’ve designed is great.
Alongside this, we’d love to hear why you’re keen to volunteer for Earth Guardian specifically.
