The Peoples Hub

Social enterprise
National - Britain

Our objectives

The Peoples Hub is dedicated to supporting communities across the UK, with a focus on empowering those who face significant barriers. Our primary beneficiaries include people who are homeless, young people seeking to build skills and confidence, and the dedicated volunteers who form the backbone of our community initiatives. We also champion social enterprises and small-scale producers, helping them to thrive. A key part of our mission is the advancement of women's rights, as we work to create opportunities and foster equity for women in all aspects of our work.

Our Services & Impact

We provide a range of services to these groups, acting as a hub for knowledge, resources, and community action. This support helps to create pathways out of poverty, develop local economies, and build a more inclusive society. Our work creates a tangible impact by empowering people to take control of their own futures.

Our activities

To meet our objectives, The Peoples Hub delivers a range of collaborative programs and initiatives designed to empower individuals and strengthen communities across the UK. Our activities are hands-on, skills-based, and focused on creating tangible pathways to independence and resilience.

Empowering Individuals

  • Skills Workshops: We host free workshops for people who are homeless and young people that teach practical skills in upcycling, mending, and crafting textiles. These sessions not only teach valuable creative and practical skills but also provide a supportive environment for personal growth and social connection.
  • Volunteer Programs: We actively engage volunteers from all backgrounds, offering opportunities to contribute to our workshops, events, and community projects. This fosters a sense of purpose and helps them develop new skills while connecting with others.
  • Youth & Volunteer Engagement: We provide unique learning opportunities, including trips for youth and volunteers to Parliament to learn about the democratic process, citizenship, and how to advocate for social change.
  • Advocacy and Education: We run targeted campaigns and educational sessions focused on women's rights, promoting equality in the workplace and combating gender-based discrimination in business and community settings.

Supporting Social Enterprises

  • Network Building: We provide a platform for social enterprises to connect, collaborate, and share best practices. Our network acts as a hub for small, ethical businesses to grow and find mutual support.
  • Marketplace Promotion: We feature and promote ethical social enterprises on our website, giving them a voice and a marketplace to showcase their products to a wider, conscious audience. This helps them compete with larger corporations and achieve financial sustainability.
