What will you be doing?
Are you a creative force with a passion for women's rights? Ada's Army is looking for a Digital Superstar to join our mission and help us bring our advocacy to life. In this pivotal volunteer role, you will be the driving visual voice of our campaigns, translating powerful stories and complex issues—from historical struggles like the Suffragettes to today's ongoing challenges—into engaging, shareable content for a worldwide audience.
This is a unique opportunity to use your artistic and digital talents for a cause that matters. Your work will directly support our initiatives, from educational campaigns to online advocacy, helping us to reach a wider audience and inspire action. We are looking for individuals who can think creatively and are committed to producing high-quality content that aligns with our core values of equity, justice, and empowerment.
What you will do: As a Digital Superstar, your primary focus will be on creating compelling visual assets that tell a story, including:
- Images & Illustrations: Designing compelling graphics, infographics, and other static visuals for social media platforms and our website, depicting both historical moments and current issues in women's rights.
- Videos & Animations: Creating brief, dynamic videos or animations (if possible) for use in social media campaigns and on our website to grab attention, explain key concepts, and showcase the ongoing fight for equality.
- Cartoons: Developing short, impactful cartoons that communicate complex feminist issues in a relatable and accessible way.
Who you will work with: You will be an integral part of our dynamic and supportive digital team. You will report to and collaborate closely with our Head of Communications, as well as a small team of passionate content creators and advocates. Your unique perspective and creative skills will be highly valued as we work together to bring our vision to life.
What we are looking for: We are seeking a volunteer with a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create engaging visual content. You should be proficient in relevant software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, animation software) and have a keen eye for design. Most importantly, we want someone who shares our passion for women's rights and is excited to use their creativity to make a tangible difference.

The ideal candidate for the Ada's Army Digital Superstar volunteer role is a talented creative with a passion for our mission. We are seeking an artist who can translate complex ideas into visually stunning and impactful content. Your expertise as an illustrator, artist, or designer will give our advocacy a new dimension, making it more accessible and compelling to a global audience.
Key Skills:
- Visual Communication: Strong ability to tell a story through images, translating historical moments and current feminist issues into a clear visual narrative.
- Illustration & Cartoons: Proven skill in creating original illustrations and cartoons. This includes developing distinct character styles and using visuals to make our message memorable.
- Animation (Desirable): Proficiency in animation software is a plus. The ability to create brief, powerful animated clips will be a game-changer for our social media campaigns.
- Graphic Design: A solid understanding of design principles and proficiency in software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Essential for creating polished graphics and campaign materials.
- Adaptability: The ability to work within brand guidelines and adapt your style to suit different digital platforms.
Experience:
- Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects is our most important requirement. We want to see examples of your illustrations, digital art, and if available, animated shorts. Your portfolio will demonstrate your style and your ability to bring ideas to life.
- Creative Roles: Previous experience creating visuals for a cause, whether for a non-profit or a professional client, is a definite advantage.
- Social Advocacy: A passion for women's rights and a clear understanding of the issues we champion is crucial.
