Objectives

Our Mission

We believe education is the key to seeing lives rebuilt and communities impacted by conflict restored. Our mission is to advance education primarily in communities impacted by conflict anywhere in the world. By improving both equality of access and the quality of provision for children and young people

Our Vision

For all Children and young people to have access to relevant, high-quality education as a basic human right. For people to be aspirational and have opportunities and for communities to flourish.

Our Values

We are empowering: Our aim is to develop projects that have a lasting impact by working alongside local communities, empowering and equipping them to provide access to relevant, high-quality education for all.

We are independent: Education is a basic human right.  We remain independent of political, cultural and religious views, advocating for people regardless of their background and beliefs.

We work with integrity: We truly believe in what we stand for. We want to make sure people are Known within their community and that their needs are seen and understood; that they know that they are Valued and that their lives have purpose; and that they are shown compassion and Loved.

Activities

We have been a registered charity since February 2020 and have developed significantly since then however we are ambitious and wish to grow so that we can impact many more lives.

We have a passionate Chief Executive Officer who manages the majority of the charities operations at present alongside our board of trustees and a growing team of volunteers.

At present we have two delivery models; the first is an Education Development Programme and the second is Grant Giving Partnerships.  The aim of both of these programmes is to improve both the quality of, and equity of access to, education provision.

We define quality as;

  • Inclusive – accessible to all regardless of any determining factor, for example gender, social class, ethnicity and special educational need.
  • Effective – strong leadership and teaching practice delivering a relevant and appropriate curriculum that equips students to reach their potential.
  • Positive – students and staff experience a safe, encouraging and respectful school culture.

How we operate is crucial to us as an organisation and so we have put much emphasis on getting our values right.  It is imperative to us that our values are not tokenistic but remain at the heart of all we do.  We feel that this is part of what makes us distinct as a charity; our values ensure that this is not about us ‘doing good’ but us equipping others to make the difference for themselves, their families and their communities regardless of circumstances, thus, the focus is always the beneficiaries of the charity.

We want to live by our values and in particular ensure that all we do is done with integrity; we want to make sure people are KNOWN within their community and that their needs are seen and understood; that they know that they are VALUED and that their lives have purpose; and that they are shown compassion and LOVED.
