AFRIKINDNESS
Our objectives
Afrikindness is a non-profit public-benefit organization with the primary aim of promoting acts of kindness amongst children and young adults, igniting a desire in them to make a positive impact in their communities. Afrikindness has a clear purpose focused on advancing education and the social and character development of children and young people, particularly those who have been racially marginalized, and socially and culturally excluded.
Why Afrikindness?
Afrikindness is an award-winning organization dedicated to breaking cultural, racial, and language barriers while addressing issues that directly impact children, young people, and families. Our tailored training, workshops, and initiatives empower parents, educators, and community leaders to create inclusive environments and promote positive social change. With a proven track record of delivering impactful programs and fostering resilience, Afrikindness is uniquely positioned to address these critical challenges.
Why This?
Our work is essential because cultural misunderstandings, racial disparities, and lack of inclusivity continue to hinder the emotional, social, and academic development of children and young people. By focusing on neurodiversity, mental health, and social and emotional learning, parenting with purpose, school initiatives, Afrikindness provides the tools and knowledge needed to create lasting change. Addressing these barriers isn’t just important—it’s a necessity to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Why Now?
The urgency is clear: statistics show rising rates of exclusions, racial bullying, and cultural tensions in schools and communities. These issues are compounding challenges for families, particularly those from diverse backgrounds. With increasing demand for our programs and a growing recognition of the importance of diversity and inclusion, now is the time to act. Investing in Afrikindness now means directly contributing to creating a future where every child, regardless of their background, can reach their full potential.
