Volunteer Graphic Designer

What will you be doing?

Sonic Radioboom is a community-led online radio station bringing people together through music, creativity and fandom.

We're looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to help develop and strengthen our visual identity as we continue to grow.

You'll work closely with the Station Manager and other volunteers to create professional, eye-catching designs that represent the station across a variety of platforms.

Your work may include:

Designing social media graphics.

Creating promotional posters and event artwork.

Developing branding and visual identity.

Producing graphics for our website and mobile app.

Designing merchandise and marketing materials.

Creating assets for live shows, conventions and community events.

Contributing creative ideas to help Sonic Radioboom continue to evolve. 

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Graphic Designer with experience producing high-quality digital artwork and branding materials.
Ideally, you'll have around three or more years of graphic design experience through employment, freelance work, education or a strong personal portfolio. We're more interested in the quality of your work and your creativity than where your experience was gained.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), Affinity Designer, Canva, Figma or similar design software would be beneficial.
You'll be comfortable working independently, communicating with a remote team and turning ideas into eye-catching designs. An interest in music, online communities, gaming, anime, furry, sci-fi or other fandoms would be a bonus, but it's not essential.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, collaborative and excited to help shape the visual identity of a growing community-led radio station.

Your work will help us present the station professionally across our website, social media, events and promotional campaigns, making it easier for people to discover and engage with our community.

By creating high-quality visual content, you'll support our mission of bringing people together through music, creativity and shared interests. Your designs will help us recruit volunteers, promote independent artists and creators, advertise events and grow an inclusive online community where people can learn new skills and make lasting connections.
Every design you create will contribute to the long-term development of Sonic Radioboom and help strengthen our presence within the communities we serve.
