Videographer & Photographer in Norwich

What will you be doing?

We are looking for an experienced Videographer and Photographer to support our exciting program of talks and events for our members writing group. We are based in Norwich and meet monthly.  You would be part of the events and program team, working alongside the Program Secretary and capturing and editing video footage and photos ready to upload to social media and our website.

Awareness of GDPR and video consent essential.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years experience with video and photography, who can create a record of events that can be uploaded to our website and social media to help develop our core capabilities in both marketing our group and extending our membership.

An interest in the Writing community is desired, to understand what we would need for our program of events and meetings. We occasionally have stands at events, such as the National Centre for Writing and would benefit from photography at those times.

Must enjoy working as part of a team, will need to occassionally attend programming meetings, and be prepared to join our events whatsapp group. 

Most of our meetings are in the evening once or twice a month, except outside events such as Publishing Fair, book launches, Competition Gala and Norwich Book Festival, which helps to raise our membership capacity.

All of our volunteers are members of our group for which there is an annual fee.

What difference will you make?

Our Members look forward to interesting talks and workshops from the publishing / writing community each month and without video, photographic or audio record of our meetings, our online members miss those opportunities. 

Creating a portfolio of images of our activities will help to reach a wider audience bringing new members and therefore longevity to our group.

Before you apply

Ideally we are looking for someone to apply asap so that they can be voted into the position at our AGM in July. 

We will get in touch soon after they apply to arrange an interview at a venue in Norwich. 

What we would like to see in the application:  experience working with committees, experience in photography at meetings and events, aware of GDPR and video consent. Have the software to convert Zoom recordings and video to Social media format.
