Trustee for Human Trafficking Charity
The Strongtower Foundation is a charity that combats modern slavery by: offering safe housing to survivors of this horrific crime; providing support for victims; raising awareness in communities and partnering with law enforcement and NGOs.
What will you be doing?
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe place for victims where they can be supported through counselling and workshops to assist on their road to recovery and normal living.
We raise awareness about modern slavery in the UK, including speaking at churches and other community groups to shed light on this area shrouded in darkness.
Modern Slavery in the UK
Human trafficking and modern slavery are among the most widespread crimes in the world. In the UK alone there are an estimated 136,000 modern slaves living in 2020.
COVID-19 has exposed some of the most vulnerable in our community by weakening the infrastructures that were in place to protect them. This has led to increase in domestic violence, homelessness and human trafficking.
If you are someone who has a passion for justice and protecting the most vulnerable in society then would love to hear from you.
