MC Female Network CIC seeks a trustee with grant funding and partnership experience to help secure sustainable funding, strengthen strategic growth and expand our impact. Help shape the future of a growing Black-led social enterprise.

What will you be doing?

MC Female Network CIC is entering an exciting period of growth as we expand our heritage, wellbeing, training, and community development programmes. We are looking to strengthen our Board by recruiting a trustee who can help us build a more sustainable future through strategic fundraising and organisational development.

Our Board is currently made up of committed individuals who share a passion for improving outcomes for Black and racially minoritised communities. As demand for our services continues to grow, we recognise the importance of strengthening our governance and increasing our capacity to secure long-term funding.

The successful trustee will play an important strategic role in supporting the organisation to identify funding opportunities, strengthen relationships with funders and partners, contribute to fundraising strategy, and support the long-term sustainability of the organisation. They will work closely with the Board and senior leadership to help shape our future direction and support the delivery of our strategic objectives.

This is an opportunity to join a growing Black-led social enterprise at a pivotal stage of its development. The trustee’s contribution will help us expand our reach, preserve cultural heritage, improve wellbeing, and create more opportunities for the communities we serve.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a trustee with experience in grant fundraising, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, philanthropy, or business development within the charity, social enterprise, or corporate sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can help strengthen our long-term sustainability by identifying funding opportunities, developing corporate and community partnerships, and opening doors to new networks and sponsors. They will play an active role in helping MC Female Network CIC diversify its income and build meaningful relationships that support our long-term growth.

Experience of securing grant funding, cultivating corporate sponsors, developing strategic partnerships, or generating unrestricted income would be highly valuable. Previous trustee experience is welcomed but not essential.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals who share our commitment to reducing inequalities and improving outcomes for Black and racially minoritised communities. Lived experience, cultural competence, and an understanding of equity and inclusion are highly valued.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is collaborative, well-connected, and excited to help shape the future of a growing Black-led social enterprise.

What difference will you make?

The successful trustee will play a vital role in helping MC Female Network CIC become more sustainable and increase its impact. Their strategic guidance and fundraising expertise will help us secure the resources needed to expand our programmes, strengthen our organisational capacity, and reach more Black and racially minoritised women, girls, and young people across the UK.

Their contribution will directly support the growth of initiatives focused on heritage preservation, mental wellbeing, cultural identity, education, employability, and community empowerment. By helping us build long-term financial resilience, the trustee will enable us to develop new partnerships, deliver more community projects, and create lasting opportunities for people who are often underserved.

Beyond securing funding, this trustee will help shape the future of our organisation at an exciting stage of growth. Their expertise will help ensure that MC Female Network CIC continues to grow as a strong, sustainable, and influential social enterprise, creating meaningful and lasting change for the communities we serve.
