Program Co-ordinator for writing group
We offer an exciting program of writing talks and workshops for our members . Can you help us create an interesting program for the upcoming season which starts in September?
What will you be doing?
We are looking for an experienced project / events co-ordinator to create an exciting program of talks and workshops for our members writing group. We are based in Norwich and meet twice a month. They would be part of the events and program team, working alongside the committee.
It is possible for the role to be split into 2 roles: Online and In Person co-ordinators. Our In Person co-ordinator would have to be located locally to Norwich as they would be needed to attend and oversee the Norwich monthly meetings. Our Online co-ordinator would need to be able to host our Zoom meetings.
For both roles contacts and an interest within the Writing community would be essential.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has experience with committees - sometimes things take a bit longer as often permissions are needed before plans can be executed.
Contacts or an interest in the Writing community is needed to create an interesting program for our members.
Must enjoy working as part of a team, will need to attend monthly meetings, be prepared to join our events whatsapp group and be able host occassional zoom meetings.
Most of our meetings are in the evening 2 or 3 times a month.
All of our volunteers are members of our group for which there is an annual fee.
What difference will you make?
Without a program of meetings and events our group cannot function. Our members look forward to interesting talks and workshops from the publishing / writing community each month both in person and online. With your help we can continue to grow.

Before you apply
Ideally we are looking for someone to apply asap so that they can be voted into the position at our AGM in July.
We will get in touch soon after they apply to arrange an interview at a venue in Norwich.
What we would like to see in the application: experience working with committees, how they would recruit speakers / workshop leaders for our writing meetings, any experience in running zoom meetings.
