Women’s Consortium is looking for a MEAL and evidence volunteer to provide extra support with monitoring, evaluation, surveys, data analysis and impact reporting across our community services.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:

This is an extra support role, not a full MEAL specialist post. The volunteer will work alongside the team, with tasks agreed based on their skills, confidence and availability.

You may support with organising service data, helping design simple surveys, reviewing feedback, creating basic reports, building simple dashboards, preparing evidence summaries and helping us show the impact of our work more clearly.

You may also support with Community Counselling reporting by helping us understand what is working, where there are gaps, and how feedback can improve service delivery.

The original MEAL role includes monitoring and evaluation frameworks, surveys, dashboards, impact reports, partner data quality and evidence building, but this volunteer role will focus on practical support where needed.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience or interest in monitoring, evaluation, research, impact or data analysis
  • Confidence working with data and feedback
  • Good Excel skills, including charts, tables, formulas or basic analysis
  • Ability to turn information into clear summaries or short reports
  • Experience creating surveys or feedback forms would be helpful
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Google Looker Studio or similar tools would be useful
  • Good attention to detail and an organised approach
  • Ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical people
  • Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and responsible data handling
  • Interest in charity, mental health, community services or inclusion work

This role may suit a researcher, data analyst, impact officer, evaluation professional, postgraduate student, retired professional, or someone with practical experience in evidence and reporting.

What difference will you make?

This role will help Women’s Consortium better understand and show the difference our services are making.

As our work grows, it is important that we collect feedback, track outcomes and present evidence in a clear and useful way. A MEAL and Evidence Support Volunteer will help us organise information, identify learning and share impact with funders, partners and the wider team.

Your support will help us move from just collecting data to actually using it well.

By volunteering in this role, you will help us improve services, strengthen reports and make better decisions for the communities we support.

Before you apply

Please include a brief note covering why you are interested in supporting Women’s Consortium, any MEAL, research or reporting experience you have, and any tools you have used such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS or similar.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an informal conversation with the team.
