Interim Head of Design

What will you be doing?

As Interim Head of Design, you will lead on the Society’s visual direction and output, maintaining and developing our design work during a period of maternity cover.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and maintaining the Society’s visual identity and brand consistency
• Designing high-quality materials, including:
  • Social media content
  • Campaign visuals
  • Educational resources

Supporting key initiatives such as:

• Public awareness campaigns
• Fundraising and sponsorship materials
• The Society’s longer-term projects, including a public statue and educational programme
• Ensuring continuity of design work while introducing improvements where appropriate
• Collaborating with the leadership team to align design with strategic priorities

You will be working closely with a small, committed leadership team, with significant autonomy to shape outputs and approach.

What are we looking for?

This role would suit someone with a strong eye for design, an ability to work independently, and an interest in contributing to a meaningful social cause.
