About me

I'm Mils, a creative and strategic leader with over 20 years’ experience in UX, UI, accessibility, and digital design. I’m currently Head of UX and Accessibility at Pearson, and previously led the design function at Tes, where I built and scaled an international product design and research team. My career spans a range of sectors—from education to media and travel—having worked with brands like WarnerMedia, Hostelworld Group, Emap, and Maple Syrup Media.

I specialise in user-centred design, inclusive and accessible experiences, and design strategy that aligns with long-term business goals. I enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions that improve customer experience, drive engagement, and enable meaningful outcomes—whether in education or other sectors.

Alongside my professional work, I’m passionate about mentoring and representation. As part of Pearson’s Be the Future of Tech programme, I mentor Year 8 girls exploring careers in technology, helping them build confidence and challenge stereotypes.

I’m excited about the opportunity to volunteer my expertise in a Trustee capacity—bringing creative thinking, strategic insight, and inclusive leadership to an organisation committed to equity and positive social change.
