About me
I'm an experienced HR and people leader with more than 15 years' experience, including eight years as HR Director for a group of companies and over ten years running my own recruitment business. I hold an MBA and I'm a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD), which is the most senior level of professional membership in HR.
In simple terms, I've spent my career helping organisations build strong teams, develop their people, manage change well, and put fair and sensible practices in place. I'm comfortable working at board level and I enjoy work that involves strategy, good governance and getting the best out of people.
Originally from Ukraine, I came to the UK under the Homes for Ukraine scheme and have rebuilt my professional and family life here while raising three daughters. I speak Ukrainian, Russian and English, and I'm used to working across different cultures and languages. I know first-hand what it means to start again in a new country, and that experience shapes why I want to give my time.
My professional skills include HR strategy, recruitment and talent, organisational development and change, coaching and mentoring. On a personal level, I'm warm, reliable, calm under pressure and a good listener.
The causes I care about most are refugees and migrants, women's support, education, families and children, and sustainability. These matter to me because I know from my own life how hard and how important they are right now. I've lived through the uncertainty of starting over, the challenge of building a future for my children in a new country, and the difference that support and opportunity can make. I also believe organisations have a responsibility to grow in a way that is sustainable - for their people, their communities and the environment - and I'd like to help with that.
I'd love to volunteer as a trustee or board member, or in a skills-based HR role, where my experience can genuinely help an organisation grow and look after its people well.
What am I looking for?
I'm keen to support organisations working with refugees and migrants, women, families and children, education, or sustainability - causes I care deeply about from my own experience of starting again in a new country. Ideally I'd like a trustee or board role, or a skills-based HR position, where I can use my 15+ years in HR leadership and organisational development to help the organisation build a strong team, look after its people and grow in a sustainable way.
