About me

I have always enjoyed a challenge whether this was in my working life or social life and am basically a person who wants to know "why". This need to know more has always been part of my life and has led me to try new things such as taking up rowing in 1973 where I was Bradford Rowing Club's first female member and in 2004 I became the first female captain at Hollingworth Lake.

Some people happily spend their working lives in the same role but unfortunately I am not one of these people, I need to be challenged, have problems to solve and to find new ways of working, hence my willingness to apply for awards such as the HOPE European Exchange allowing to spend 4 weeks in Finland observing integrated care, and the Yorkshire Health Authority Grant which allowed me to observe care of the young disabled in four areas of the USA.

What am I looking for?

I am interested in both local and nationwide roles which will allow me to use my extensive communication skills in health or other organisations.I feel that I am approachable and supportive with a keen sense of humour.
