About me

I come from a business, governance, and organisational leadership background, with experience across the private, education, and charity sectors. My work has included business development, operations, strategy, partnerships, stakeholder management, governance, and organisational improvement.

I currently serve as Chair of Governors at Perivale Primary School, where I help oversee finance, safeguarding, long-term planning, accountability, and organisational performance. Alongside governance, I have worked with start-ups, SMEs, charities, and community organisations on growth, operational challenges, restructuring, communication, and strategic development.

A lot of what I enjoy is helping organisations move from “working reactively” to operating with more clarity, structure, and direction. I am naturally commercially minded, but I also care strongly about social impact and building organisations that genuinely improve people’s lives.

My professional strengths include strategic thinking, leadership, communication, relationship building, problem solving, operational oversight, and helping organisations navigate change. Personally, I am curious, resilient, calm under pressure, and comfortable working with people from very different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Outside of work, I have strong interests in education, technology, entrepreneurship, governance, media, innovation, and social mobility. I am particularly interested in projects that create long-term opportunity, especially for young people, disadvantaged communities, and disabled people.

I want to volunteer because I believe many charities and community organisations struggle not because of lack of passion, but because they lack access to experienced strategic and commercial thinking. I enjoy helping organisations strengthen their foundations, think bigger, and operate more effectively while staying connected to their mission.

What am I looking for?

I am particularly interested in causes connected to education, social mobility, disability inclusion, community development, youth opportunities, and social impact. I am passionate about supporting organisations that want to create long-term change rather than short-term fixes, especially those working with disadvantaged communities or helping people access opportunities they may otherwise miss.

I am also interested in organisations exploring innovation, technology, employability, entrepreneurship, and skills development, particularly where these can be used to improve people’s lives or strengthen communities.

In terms of roles, I am most suited to leadership, advisory, governance, strategy, mentoring, partnership-building, and organisational development positions. I can contribute to boards, committees, working groups, or projects where clear thinking, business experience, communication, and problem solving are needed.

I enjoy roles where I can help organisations think strategically, strengthen operations, improve sustainability, support growth, or bring people together around a shared purpose. I am also happy to support with mentoring, business development, stakeholder engagement, fundraising ideas, or helping organisations navigate change and growth.
