Objectives

We are an international charity whose values are grounded in pragmatism and compassion that strives to support and improve the horse-human partnership in all of its guises.

Our mission is to work with horses, horse owners, communities, organisations and governments to help improve welfare standards and stamp out suffering in the UK and worldwide.

World Horse Welfare's approach aims to achieve lasting change to improve the lives of horses in the UK and worldwide.

Over 30% of our team have worked for the charity for more than 10 years and many choose to donate to our work.

Activities

From front-line care, to research, education, advocacy and campaigns, World Horse Welfare works across the full spectrum of the horse world to improve the horse-human partnership.

We work across the UK with horses, horse owners, other charities, academia, the veterinary profession, sport bodies, law enforcement and government to improve welfare standards.

Internationally we improve the lives of working horses whose communities rely on for their livelihoods.
