Wicked Weather Watch inspires children and their teachers to understand and act on climate change. Two thirds of teachers want more support teach climate change, and children are worried about their future. We support both pupils and teachers to have the knowledge, skills and opportunities to take small but impactful steps to protect our planet.
Wicked Weather Watch has two pillars of work:
1: Education - we run single and multi-school workshops; organise school visits from explorers, scientists and climate activities; train teachers to integrate climate change into the primary curriculum through workshops (online and face to face) and inset days; produce easy-to-use teaching resources for the classroom and home covering a diverse range of climate and sustainability topics.
2: Action - developing an app to track actions taken to reduce carbon footprint, toolkit for schools to be more sustainable, and activities for children to live more sustainable lives.
