True Honour

Charity
National - England

Our objectives

True Honour supports anyone affected by domestic abuse, harmful practices, and honour-based violence. This includes women, men, and young people who may be at risk, as well as families and communities who need guidance to recognise and prevent abuse.

How We Help
We offer:

  • One-to-one support – confidential advice, emotional support, and practical guidance.
  • Awareness and training – workshops, talks, and resources for communities, schools, and professionals.
  • Advocacy – standing alongside survivors to make sure their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
  • Partnership working – linking survivors with trusted services so they get the right help when they need it.

Why Our Help Matters
Abuse and harmful practices often stay hidden due to fear, stigma, and cultural pressures. Without support, survivors can feel silenced and isolated. True Honour breaks that silence, offering safety, understanding, and empowerment. Our work helps survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and creates stronger, safer communities for the future.

Our activities

At True Honour, we are dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse, harmful practices, and honour-based violence. Our work is all about creating safer communities and making sure every voice is heard.

Here’s how we meet our aims:

  • Raising Awareness – we deliver workshops, talks, and community events to shine a light on abuse and harmful practices.
  • Supporting Survivors – we provide a safe space for advice, guidance, and emotional support, helping survivors take steps towards safety and independence.
  • Working Together – we partner with local services, schools, and organisations so survivors get the right support at the right time.
  • Challenging Harmful Norms – we campaign for change, tackling stigma and harmful cultural attitudes that put people at risk.
  • Building Confidence in Communities – we give people the knowledge and tools to recognise abuse and know how to act.

Everything we do is guided by compassion, respect, and a commitment to empowering survivors to live free from fear.
