Highly regarded local museum housed in a listed, late 17th century merchant’s house alongside the River Exe. The collection focuses on maritime and local history and is run entirely by nearly 200 local volunteers.
Open April to October, the museum offers local history galleries and period rooms, local and family history research, tea room, shop, garden, special exhibitions, programme of talks, childrens’ activities, group visits.
