Objectives

Our vision is a community in which all asylum seekers and refugees are welcomed, valued and able to participate fully in society

Founded in 2002, Streatham Drop-In Centre is an independent small grass roots charity that aims to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for refugee and asylum seeker individuals and families living in the London Borough of Lambeth and surrounding areas. The Centre provides holistic services for asylum seekers and refugees to meet the needs of those most severely affected by social exclusion, poverty and poor health.

Working in partnership with a wide range of voluntary, community and statutory groups, the Centre provides specialised support, information and advice, as well as a wide range of health and wellbeing services to empower asylum seeker and refugee in the local community as well as activities and a homework club project which runs on Saturday mornings for families, helping with children’s homework and providing a safe and positive environment .

Managed by an executive committee of volunteer trustees, we have a dedicated and knowledgeable staff and volunteer team.

OUR AIMS
