SSAFA provides lifelong support for the serving and former members of our Armed Forces and their families. SSAFA is the main case-working charity for the Confederation Of British Service and Ex-Service Organisations (COBSEO). We act as the face to face link between our clients and relevant charities (military and civilian), normally to obtain funds to support and pay for a client's assessed needs.

Our potential clients are anyone who served at least one day in the regular forces or reserves and their dependants / partners including those of deceased service personnel. Clients range from 90+ year old widows of WW2 servicemen to a 20 year old recently discharged serviceman and woman.

Our support is not very often "life-changing" but definitely enhances the clients quality of daily living and life generally.
