Objectives

The Speaking Out Forum is a small charity whose vision is a society where young adults with disabilities and learning difficulties have an equal voice in society to speak and to be heard.

Our aim is to empower our participants to speak in public by developing their communication skills whilst simultaneously enriching their daily and working lives.

Activities

We provide a public speaking course which builds self-confidence and well-being. The course is led by trained facilitators and assisted by mentors. At the end of the course, we celebrate the achievement of each participant by giving them an opportunity to speak in public and by presenting them with a certificate and medal.
