Objectives

The objects of the Association are:

      1. The protection of life and property by the provision and maintenance of a rescue service with, in particular, specialist skills in swift water/flood, land search, marine and cliff rescue.
      1. To assist Government Departments and County and Local Authorities in their provision of emergency services.
    1. 3. To advance public education in outdoor safety, particularly in and around water.

Activities

SARA is a unique organisation, made up entirely of volunteers and conducting both lifeboat operations and inland search and rescue, and covers an area extending from Newport South Wales to Kidderminster.  The team is busier than ever, and prides itself on a professional standard of operation.  SARA is looking for suitable individuals with relevant senior level skills and/or experience, who can help it to develop connections with the local communities and businesses, and its working relationships with the emergency services.
