Our objectives
The People’s Kitchen provide a safe haven for our Friends; the homeless and disadvantaged people of Newcastle. From our headquarters on Bath Lane, Newcastle, we serve hot food and gives care packages to those in need to make life on the streets more bearable.
Our activities
We give ‘friendship and food’ to our Friends by offering them a safe space to enjoy hot meals, collect essential living items, and talk to health professionals.
Our volunteers serve up to 150 hot meals a day, 365 days a year, provide clothing, toiletries, snacks and sleeping bags and, through our ‘Your Futures’ programme, signpost to professionals who can offer our Friends advice on health issues such as drug and alcohol advice to support their mental and physical wellbeing.
