The Mary How Trust provides in-depth health checks to asymptomatic clients, which include medical and non-invasive tests that give a clearer picture of health and wellbeing. Our health screening focuses on preventative health; informing of potential issues and reinforcing good behaviours to support health and wellbeing. The aim is to allow our clients to understand their bodies better and take control of their health. Whilst our health screening is not a diagnostic process, we will refer clients to their GP should any of the results show an abnormality. A full report is sent to both client and GP (on consent). We believe we are the only independent health screening organisation to operate in the way we do - instead of a fixed fee, we request a donation that's based on the person’s ability to pay, making us accessible to all those in the community.
The objectives of MHT are: to prevent sickness, in particular but not exclusively, by providing a Health Screening service to the general public with the aim of detecting all types of cancer in particular, life threatening diseases in general, and to make this service available to all.
And to advance public education in general health matters, and in the prevention, and detection, of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The vision, mission and values of The Mary How Trust guide us and remain as important today as they were when the Charity was first formed.
Our health screening services ensure we are committed to these objectives.
