London City Farms & Community Gardens Association
Our objectives
We are a mutual support organization of charitable farms and gardens in London. As a group, we champion the importance of open access to green spaces in the capital for environmental education, personal wellbeing and community engagement.
Our work helps knit together a community of staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries that enhances the work of each individual charity. We also provide peer-to-peer emotional and professional support, something that has become even more important during the Covid crisis.
Our activities
Every year, we work together to put on an annual London Harvest Festival that celebrates the work of our volunteers - particularly our Young Farmers. We hold monthly "zoom-ups" to network and share ideas and information. WE maintain a website and social media to share information and promote the benefits of our green spaces to London's community.
