Objectives

Our Mission

To empower children and adults with learning disabilities and autism to get their voice heard, reach their potential and be included in their local community.

Our Vision

We seek to promote the wellbeing and development of children and adults with learning disabilities and autism in all areas of their lives as well as supporting their families and carers.

Strategic Objectives

To provide support to access opportunities that ensure children and adults with learning disabilities and autism are:

· Accepted and included in the community.

· Have their views and needs listened to by decision makers.

· Supported to live as independently as possible, through the freedom of choice and control.

· Supported to campaign and stand up for their rights.

· Provided with the opportunities to continue to learn, develop and live their lives to the full.

· Have their dreams met e.g. Make friends, form relationships, get a job, live in their own home.

Activities

We offer a range of projects and services these include:

  • Advocacy Services for Parent/Carer supporting individual's with a learning disability.
     
  • Parentsactive is a support network for families of disabled children (0-25) living in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The aim of Parentsactive is to enable parents to gain and share information both locally and nationally, make new friends and, most importantly, realise that they are not alone.
     
  • Youth Development - a project that provides leisure and educational activities and support for young people with learning disabilities with the transition into adulthood.
     
  • Young People’s Transitions - this project provides person-centred support for young people, aged 14-25 years, who have a learning disability and/or autism and are currently/have previously been under the support of local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

 

  • MyLife Out and About: Support Service - We are a provider of high quality, bespoke support for people with learning disabilities. Our support can range from 1:1 going up to a 5:1 group support using pooled budgets. All support can include personal care and is inclusive of all travel costs for the supporter, this support is available for all needs from home care to social inclusion activities.
